um you know how in last lesson you said for our thumbs to wrap around the fret well when i do crawl or play chords i have to put my thumb on back neck instead of wrapping around it to reach chords or notes on low e and a and d, is that a bad thing if i do that?

no,not callouses.. old people from our town just tell us not to.. muscle tensions or spasms or whatever they call it..
i don’t see why not. i would suggest actually washing your hand since the strings aren’t always clean and you don’t want to eat with dirty fingers. are you concerned about callouses?
I learned that from a friend a while back.
By the way, enjoy the free lessons, a good way for me to practice, in between lessons with the guy i pay.

i just bought my first guitar and these have helped me soo much!
either you get to a piano, or another guitar in tune, or even a phone dial pad. otherwise it will be considered “relative” tuning until you can get at least one tuned to it’s “true” tune.
what if the 6th string isn’t in tune…. then what do you do
